Some lines appear because of the way the face naturally moves. Frowning, smiling, concentrating and raising the brows all use repeated muscle movement, and over time these movements can leave visible lines even when the face is at rest.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections are designed to soften this movement in carefully selected areas. The aim is not to freeze the face or remove expression altogether. It is to create a smoother, more rested appearance while preserving the natural character of your face.

This is a prescription-only treatment, so suitability, product choice and dosing must be assessed carefully before treatment is carried out.

How It Works

Anti-Wrinkle Injections use a purified botulinum toxin medicine to temporarily reduce the activity of selected facial muscles.

By softening the movement responsible for certain expression lines, the skin above those muscles can appear smoother over time. The treatment is carefully placed and tailored to your individual facial anatomy, muscle strength and treatment goals.

Treatment Time

Your appointment will include consultation, facial assessment, treatment planning and the injection treatment itself.

The injection stage is usually relatively quick, but the assessment beforehand is important. Kirsty will review your facial movement, discuss your medical history and confirm whether treatment is suitable before proceeding.

Results

Anti-Wrinkle Injections do not work instantly.

You may begin to notice the effect developing within a few days, with the full result usually assessed around two weeks after treatment. Results vary from person to person and depend on factors such as muscle strength, dose, treatment area and how your body responds.

The effect is temporary. For many clients, results last around 3–4 months before movement gradually returns.

Downtime

Anti-Wrinkle Injections usually involve minimal downtime.

You may experience small temporary bumps, redness, tenderness or mild bruising at the injection points. These usually settle quickly.

Aftercare helps support the best possible result from your Anti-Wrinkle Injection treatment.

Kirsty will provide clear, treatment-specific advice following your appointment. In general, this may include avoiding rubbing or massaging the treated area, avoiding intense exercise, heat treatments, saunas or steam rooms for a short period, and allowing the product time to settle.

You should follow Kirsty’s guidance carefully and contact the clinic if you have any concerns after treatment.

Is This Treatment Right For Me?

Anti-Wrinkle Injections may be suitable if your lines are caused by repeated facial movement, such as frowning, smiling or raising the brows.

They may not be the right treatment for every line or every client. Lines caused mainly by skin laxity, volume loss, texture changes or deeper folds may require a different approach or a combination treatment plan.

Your consultation allows Kirsty to assess your facial anatomy, muscle movement, medical history, medications, previous treatments and expectations before advising whether Anti-Wrinkle Injections are appropriate.

Treatment may not be suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or where certain medical conditions, medications or allergies apply. Kirsty will discuss this with you before treatment is carried out.
