When several skin concerns are appearing at once, treating only the surface of the skin may not always be enough.

IllumiSmooth™ brings together two complementary technologies in one carefully planned treatment. IPL is used to address visible concerns such as redness, pigmentation and uneven tone, while fractional laser resurfacing focuses on texture, skin quality and the natural renewal process.

The aim is not to dramatically alter your face or create an artificial finish. It is to help skin look clearer, smoother, more even and more refreshed over time.

How It Works

IllumiSmooth™ is delivered using Lynton Dynamix technology and follows a structured treatment protocol.

The skin is first cleansed and prepared. Lynton IPL is then used across the face, with additional attention given to appropriate areas of visible concern such as pigmentation or redness.

The skin is cleansed again before the fractional ResurFACE laser stage. This creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to support natural renewal and help improve the appearance of texture and overall skin quality.

The treatment is completed with soothing and protective skincare, including SPF, to support the skin immediately afterwards.

Treatment Time

Your appointment includes skin preparation, IPL treatment, fractional laser resurfacing and soothing finishing skincare.

Some clients notice that their skin looks fresher, brighter and more refined once the initial recovery period has passed.

Improvements in texture, tone, pigmentation, redness and overall skin quality may continue to develop as the skin renews itself. Depending on your skin concerns and goals, Kirsty may recommend a single treatment or a course as part of a longer-term skin plan.

Downtime

IllumiSmooth™ involves more recovery time than illumiFacial® because it includes a fractional laser resurfacing stage.

You can expect temporary redness, warmth, sensitivity and a feeling of tightness after treatment. Your skin may also look bronzed, dry or feel rough as it settles and renews.

The degree of visible recovery varies from person to person, so it is sensible to avoid booking immediately before an important event, holiday or occasion. Kirsty will explain what is realistic for your skin and how best to plan around your diary.

Aftercare A f t e r c a r e

Aftercare is an important part of supporting your skin after IllumiSmooth™ Skin Rejuvenation.

Kirsty will provide clear, treatment-specific advice following your appointment. In general, this will focus on keeping your skincare routine gentle, avoiding unnecessary heat and friction, and protecting your skin carefully from sun exposure.

You may be advised to avoid exfoliating acids, retinoids, scrubs and other potentially sensitising products while your skin is recovering. It is also important not to pick, rub or manually remove any dry or flaking skin.

Daily SPF is essential after treatment. Kirsty may recommend suitable skincare products to help support the skin barrier, maintain hydration and protect your results while your skin settles.

Is This Treatment Right For Me?

IllumiSmooth™ may be suitable for clients looking to address several visible concerns at once, particularly where there is a combination of uneven tone, pigmentation, redness, texture changes and early signs of skin ageing.

However, it is not suitable for every skin type, skin condition or stage of skin health. Your consultation allows Kirsty to assess your skin, discuss your treatment history and advise whether this is the most appropriate route for you.

Treatment may need to be postponed where there is active irritation, infection, sunburn, recent tanning, a cold sore outbreak or another skin concern that needs to settle first.

What happens during an IllumiSmooth™ treatment?

The treatment follows a structured Lynton protocol:

The skin is cleansed and prepared

The skin is cleansed again
Fractional laser resurfacing is carried out to support skin renewal and improve texture
Soothing and protective skincare is applied, including SPF
