Sometimes the concern is more about the quality of the skin itself: hydration, firmness, texture, elasticity and that sense of skin looking less fresh than it used to.

Profhilo® is designed for this kind of concern. It is an injectable hyaluronic-acid treatment that spreads beneath the skin and works gradually to support hydration and skin remodelling.

The result is subtle and skin-focused. It is not intended to plump one feature, fill a fold or stop muscle movement. It is about helping the skin look healthier, smoother and more refreshed over time.

How It Works

Profhilo® contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin and known for its ability to attract and hold moisture.

The product is placed into specific points beneath the skin, where it spreads gradually through the tissue. Rather than sitting like a traditional filler, Profhilo® is designed to integrate and support the skin’s quality from within.

Treatment Time

Your appointment will include consultation, skin assessment, treatment planning and the injectable treatment itself.

The injection stage is usually relatively quick, but the assessment beforehand is important. Kirsty will review your skin quality, medical history and treatment goals before confirming whether Profhilo® is appropriate.

Results

Profhilo® works gradually.

Some clients notice improved hydration and freshness as the treatment begins to settle, while improvements in skin firmness, texture and overall quality may develop over the weeks that follow.

A course of treatment is commonly recommended for best results, often with an initial pair of sessions spaced several weeks apart. Kirsty will confirm the most suitable protocol for your skin during consultation.

Downtime

Profhilo® usually involves minimal downtime.

You may notice small raised bumps at the injection points immediately after treatment. These usually settle as the product disperses. Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising can also occur.

It is sensible to avoid booking treatment immediately before an important event, particularly if you are prone to bruising or swelling.

Aftercare A f t e r c a r e

Aftercare helps support the best possible response to Profhilo® treatment.

Kirsty will provide clear, treatment-specific advice before you leave the clinic. In general, this may include avoiding rubbing or massaging the treated area, avoiding intense exercise, alcohol, heat treatments, saunas and steam rooms for a short period, and allowing the product time to settle.

You should follow Kirsty’s aftercare guidance carefully and contact the clinic if you experience anything that feels unusual, severe or concerning after treatment.

Kirsty may also recommend suitable skincare to support hydration, barrier function and overall skin quality between treatments.

Is This Treatment Right For Me?

Profhilo® may be suitable if your main concern is skin quality rather than volume loss or expression lines.

It may be a good option where skin feels dry, crepey, dull or less firm, or where you want a subtle injectable treatment that supports the skin without changing the shape of your face.

It may not be the right treatment for every concern. Deeper folds, significant volume loss, muscle-related expression lines or more advanced skin laxity may require a different approach or a wider treatment plan.

Your consultation allows Kirsty to assess your skin, medical history, previous treatments and expectations before advising whether Profhilo® is appropriate.

Treatment may not be suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or where certain medical conditions, medications, allergies, active infections or recent treatments apply. Kirsty will discuss this with you before treatment is carried out.

Is Profhilo® the same as Anti-Wrinkle Injections?

No. Profhilo® and Anti-Wrinkle Injections work in different ways.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections temporarily relax selected facial muscles to soften expression lines. Profhilo® does not relax muscles. It is designed to improve skin hydration, firmness and quality.

What areas can Profhilo® treat?

Profhilo® is commonly used on areas such as the face and neck, where skin may appear dry, crepey, dull or less firm.

Kirsty will assess your skin during consultation and advise which areas are suitable for treatment.

How many Profhilo® treatments will I need?

Profhilo® is usually carried out as a course rather than a one-off treatment.

Is there downtime after Profhilo®?
