How It Works

Lip Blush is created using a specialist permanent makeup device to place pigment gradually through the lips.

Before treatment begins, Kirsty will discuss colour options, assess your natural lip shape and talk through the level of enhancement you would feel comfortable with. Pigment is then layered carefully to create a soft, even finish.

Treatment Time

Your initial Lip Blush appointment includes consultation, colour selection, treatment and aftercare guidance.

The exact appointment length will depend on your natural lip tone, the level of definition being created and the detail required to achieve the agreed result.

Your initial treatment also includes a six-week top-up appointment. This allows Kirsty to review how the pigment has healed, make suitable refinements and complete the result where needed.

Results

Your lips may look brighter, deeper in colour and more defined immediately after treatment. As the area heals, the colour will soften and settle into a more natural-looking result.

Healing and pigment retention vary from person to person. The included six-week top-up gives Kirsty the opportunity to review the healed colour and make any appropriate adjustments.

Over time, permanent makeup will gradually fade. Kirsty can advise when a future colour refresh may be appropriate for you.

Downtime

Some temporary swelling, tenderness and sensitivity can be expected after Lip Blush treatment.

The lips may appear stronger in colour than expected at first, before they soften during healing. Light dryness or flaking can also occur as the skin settles.

It is sensible to plan your appointment around important events, holidays or occasions where you would prefer not to be in the healing stage.

Aftercare A f t e r c a r e

Aftercare is an important part of achieving the best possible healed result from your Lip Blush treatment.

Kirsty will provide clear, treatment-specific aftercare instructions following your appointment. These will explain how to care for the lips, what products to use or avoid, and when it is appropriate to return to your usual lip products, skincare and makeup routine.

It is important not to pick, rub or pull at any dry or flaking skin while the lips are healing. Allowing the area to heal naturally helps protect both the skin and the pigment.

You may also be advised to avoid strong active skincare products around the mouth area, particularly exfoliating acids, retinoids and other ingredients that may affect the healing process or pigment longevity.

It is especially important to let Kirsty know if you have a history of cold sores, previous lip tattooing, lip filler, allergies or any active irritation around the mouth area. Treatment may need to be postponed where there is an active cold sore, broken skin, infection, sunburn or another concern that needs to settle first.
