How It Works

Powder Brows are created using a specialist permanent makeup device to build pigment gradually through the brow area.

Before treatment begins, Kirsty will map and refine the shape with you, taking into account your natural brow hair, facial structure and the look you would like to achieve. Pigment is then layered carefully to create a soft, shaded effect that can be tailored from subtle and airy to more defined.

The aim is not to give everyone the same brow. It is to create brows that feel balanced, wearable and right for you.

Treatment Time

Your initial Powder Brows appointment includes time for consultation, brow mapping, colour selection, treatment and aftercare guidance.

The exact appointment length will depend on your natural brows, the design being created and the level of detail required.

Your initial treatment also includes a six-week top-up appointment. This allows Kirsty to assess how the pigment has healed, make any suitable refinements and complete the result where needed.

Results

Your brows will usually look more defined and deeper in colour immediately after treatment. As the area heals, the colour will soften and settle into a more natural-looking result.

Healing and pigment retention vary from person to person. Your included six-week top-up gives Kirsty the opportunity to review the healed result and make any appropriate adjustments.

Over time, permanent makeup will gradually fade. Kirsty can advise when a future colour refresh may be appropriate for you.

Downtime

You may experience some temporary redness, tenderness or mild swelling around the brow area after treatment.

During healing, the brows may appear darker than expected before the colour softens. Light flaking or scabbing can also occur as the skin settles.

It is sensible to plan your appointment around any important events, holidays or occasions where you would prefer not to be in the healing stage.

Aftercare A f t e r c a r e

Aftercare is an important part of achieving the best possible healed result from your Powder Brows.

Kirsty will provide clear, treatment-specific aftercare instructions following your appointment. These will explain how to care for the area, what products to use or avoid, and when it is appropriate to return to your usual skincare and makeup routine.

It is important not to pick, rub or scratch the brows while they are healing, even if light flaking occurs. Allowing the skin to heal naturally helps protect both the skin and the pigment.

Kirsty may also advise on skincare products to avoid around the brow area, particularly products containing strong exfoliating acids, retinoids or other active ingredients that may affect the healing process or pigment longevity.

Is This Treatment Right For Me?

Powder Brows may be suitable for clients looking for a softer, more consistent brow shape and colour.

However, suitability will always depend on your skin, natural brow hair, previous brow treatments, medical history, allergies, current skincare routine and treatment expectations.

A consultation is especially important if you have previous permanent makeup, old microblading, skin conditions around the brow area or concerns about colour correction. Kirsty will assess the area carefully and explain the most suitable route before treatment begins.

Treatment may need to be postponed where there is active irritation, infection, sunburn or another skin concern that needs to settle first.

Will Powder Brows look too dark or too bold?
