illumiFacial® brings together professional skincare and Intense Pulsed Light technology in one structured treatment. It is designed to refresh the skin on the surface while also targeting visible concerns beneath it, helping to create a clearer, brighter and more refined-looking complexion.

It can be a useful one-off skin refresh before an event, but it may also form part of a longer-term treatment plan where concerns such as pigmentation, redness, congestion or uneven tone are more established.

How It Works

illumiFacial® follows a four-step treatment protocol designed by Lynton.

The treatment begins with a deep cleanse to prepare the skin, followed by a gentle Tri-Fruit Acid Peel to refine the surface and help decongest pores.

The skin is then treated using Lynton IPL technology, which uses controlled pulses of light to target concerns such as visible redness, pigmentation, uneven tone and signs of sun damage.

The treatment is completed with specialist hydrating and protective skincare to soothe the skin and support the treatment result.

Treatment Time

Your appointment includes skin preparation, the professional peel stage, Lynton IPL treatment and finishing skincare.

illumiFacial® is designed to be an efficient treatment, but Kirsty will confirm the full appointment time and any preparation requirements before you book.

Results

Many clients notice that their skin looks brighter, fresher and more refined once it has settled after treatment.

Results can continue to develop over time, particularly where concerns such as redness, pigmentation, congestion or uneven texture are being addressed. A single treatment can be a useful skin refresh, while a course of 3 or 6 treatments may be recommended for more sustained improvement.

Kirsty will discuss what may be realistic for your skin and the approach most suitable for your goals.

Downtime

illumiFacial® is designed to involve minimal downtime.

You may experience temporary warmth, redness or sensitivity after treatment. Some clients may also notice light dryness or flaking following the peel stage.

Most clients can return to their normal routine quickly, but it is sensible to avoid arranging treatment immediately before an important event until you know how your skin responds.

Aftercare A f t e r c a r e

Aftercare helps your skin settle well and supports the results of your illumiFacial® treatment.

Kirsty will provide clear, treatment-specific advice following your appointment. In general, this will focus on keeping your skincare routine gentle, supporting the skin barrier and protecting the skin from sun exposure.

You may be advised to avoid exfoliating acids, retinoids, scrubs and other potentially sensitising active products for a period after treatment. It is also important to use a suitable daily SPF and avoid unnecessary heat, sun exposure, saunas and steam rooms while the skin is settling.

Kirsty may recommend suitable skincare products to support your results and help maintain the condition of your skin between treatments.

Is This Treatment Right For Me?

illumiFacial® may be suitable for clients looking to improve overall skin brightness, clarity and tone, particularly where there are concerns around redness, pigmentation, visible pores, congestion or uneven texture.

However, IPL-based treatments are not suitable for every skin type, skin condition or stage of skin health. Your consultation allows Kirsty to assess your skin, review your skincare routine and treatment history, and advise whether illumiFacial® is the most appropriate option.

Treatment may need to be postponed where there is active irritation, infection, sunburn, recent tanning or another skin concern that needs to settle first.

Is illumiFacial® a laser treatment?

No. illumiFacial® uses IPL, which stands for Intense Pulsed Light.

IPL uses controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light to target visible skin concerns such as redness, pigmentation and uneven tone. Although it sits within our Laser Treatments category, the treatment itself is IPL-based rather than laser-based.

What happens during an illumiFacial®?
