What To Expect W h a t   T o   E x p e c t

Every client’s skin, treatment history and goals are different. That’s why treatment at The Yvette Clinic begins with a consultation, so Kirsty can assess your skin, understand what you would like to achieve and tailor her advice to you.

The information below gives a general guide to what you can expect, including treatment time, likely results and any downtime.

Treatment Time

Treatment time depends on the size of the area being treated and the number of visible vessels being targeted.

Small areas can often be treated relatively quickly, while larger or more widespread areas may require more time. Kirsty will confirm the expected appointment length during consultation.

All first-time laser clients require a patch test before treatment can proceed.

Results

Some vessels may appear reduced quite quickly, while others fade more gradually as the body clears the treated vessel.

More than one session may be needed, depending on the size, depth, number and visibility of the thread veins being treated. Kirsty will advise what may be realistic after assessing your skin and the area of concern.

New thread veins can also develop over time, so future maintenance treatment may be helpful for some clients.

Downtime

Laser Thread Vein Removal usually involves minimal downtime.

You may experience temporary redness, warmth, mild swelling or sensitivity in the treated area. In some cases, the treated vessel may look darker before it fades.

Kirsty will explain what to expect for your skin and advise how best to plan around sun exposure, holidays, exercise and important events.
